Harvest at Tres Colline Vineyards is a time of bustling activity and celebration as the culmination of a year’s hard work in the vineyards comes to fruition. As the early morning fog lifts from the hills surrounding the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, workers move swiftly between rows of grapevines, carefully hand-picking clusters of ripened fruit. The air is filled with the earthy aroma of the soil and the sweet scent of grapes, signaling the start of the winemaking process. Timing is everything during harvest, and at Tres Colline, the vineyard team works closely with the winemakers to ensure that the fruit is picked at the perfect moment, when the balance of sugar, acidity, and tannins is just right. Every step is taken with precision to capture the essence of the vineyard’s unique terroir.
